part of the Conference Cali 2008, we decided to open a contest to create an Origami Bear with glasses. The competition is open to all persons anywhere in the world and will be called:

"LA JUSTA DE LOS JUCUMARIS"

Jucumari (Tremarctos ornatus) is the indigenous name of the beautiful Bear with Glasses, single copy South American native to the mountains. the Jucumari is in serious danger of extinction, in this way, this competition will also stimulate the creation of a beautiful model in origami, also seeks to encourage its preservation and in some ways to help groups of people who struggle to save the bear from its imminent demise.

A. BASIS OF COMPETITION

1. There will be nine months for the creation and presentation of the model, this means that, from December 1, 2008 September 30, 2009.

2. Each participant must make his own research on this species and select the aspects you consider important for the creation of the model.

3. Since the decision of the winning models will be made on the desktop, opened a photo album on Flickr, where participants will include all photos as they consider necessary for a proper assessment of its model. It will be very important to the insertion of the CP (Crease Pattern) model. Once you have decided to enter the competition, you have to ask the membership to the album. The website of the album is:

6. Participation is free and without any restriction.

7. The models will be evaluated on the following criteria: originality, similarity with the real model, beauty, expression, clarity of line and appropriate selection of the paper. The creators must send photos of these aspects are enhanced where appropriate. This means that the selection of the winner will be the second photo. Therefore the quality of care may affect the selection criteria (even when it is not a photo contest).

B. MODEL AND FOLDED DIAGRAMS

9. Although there is no requirement for the competition, you want you can post a folded model to Cali to be exposed during the conference. Shipping charges are for account of the creator and the folded model will form part of ASVOR that will be the custodian of the model. Models should be sent to:

10. It is understood the use of not-for-profit models, both to promote himself in origami, and for promoting the conservation of Jucumari.

C. COURTS

the judges deliberate on 1 September 2009 to October 31, 2009.
The selection of the winner will take place in four stages: 1 ª
. Phase: Each judge will select 50% of the models received. You make the best statistical and 50% voted passes the second stage.
2 ª. Stage: It qualifies each model using a list of qualities to consider. It makes statistics and passes the 50% best qualified.
3 rd Phase: Voting for the remaining models and select the three best qualified.
4 th Phase: Voting for the three best qualified and will get their first, second and third place.

D. AWARD

1. The winners will be announced during the closing ceremony of the conference de Origami Colombia 2009 in the city of Cali.
2. Prizes will be shipped to winners in a certificate anywhere in the world.
